The interior of your home is like a box. You own the inside of the box and the contents of the box. More specifically, you own inward from the upper surface of the concrete slab; the sheet rock walls and ceilings; the exterior unit doors; and the windows. All the areas within your home, including electrical and plumbing facilities, air conditioning equipment, appliances, cabinets, walls, etc.

You also own certain areas of the Condominimum in conjunction with the other owners. These are defined as Common Areas. Common Areas include such items as the land, walkways, roads, parking areas, landscaping, common utility pipes and roofs. Some Common Areas have been designated for the exclusive use of the unit to which they are adjacent. An example would be decks and patios.
